Looking for a professional wedding photographer in Fiji (wedding photography also in Cook Islands, Samoa or Tahiti also available) ... Wedding photography is not just about taking pictures. One of the most important elements is about building a quick relationship with the bride and groom, and the guests, to enable a relaxed and natural photographic atmosphere. Many of my clients comment on how unintrusive I am as a photographer. This for me is very important because it is your wedding day and I want you to be completely relaxed and to enjoy your special day without being told how to stand, where to look and how to smile! Of course I do take group pictures and posed pictures but this is only a small part of the photographic experience. The best bit is capturing those spontaneous moments when you have no idea the camera is focused on you. It is this skill I acquired with years of experience photographing Fiji in its wonderful village environment - by blending into the background and clicking when the time was right.

I have lived in Fiji since 1993 (I'm originally from England) and have produced several photographic books on the islands and its people. During the 1990s I was a full time professional fiji photographer working on tourist assignments, advertising campaigns and annual reports. In 1999, I turned my attention to travel publishing and am managing director of Pacific Travel Guides which takes up the majority of my time. However, I make time for roughly one wedding photography assignment every two weeks to keep alive my passion for photography and to keep the passion of wedding photography from becoming a mundane exercise. It would be a great pleasure to be there for you on your wedding day, capturing those special life moments that you will carry with you for many years to come.
Unfortunately I don't often have the luxury of time at weddings, with most ceremonies starting after 3pm with the sun setting at 6pm - giving only a couple of hours of daylight photography (my preferred time for the ceremony is 3pm to 3.30pm although some couples may find the sun to be rather too hot at this time). However, I will do all I can to capture those special moments and this quite commonly is achieved at the guest reception or dinner - partly after the booze has started to flow but more so once the focus is taken off me and you are in full party mode ...
